Chromebooks may have started out as cheap laptops, but as they became more popular, manufacturers started making them more powerful and giving them a better design. Of course, this pushed prices up, so I ended up in this list of the best Chromebooks at less than $500.
So after some research I found these Top 10 500 Chromebooks under $500 that give you the experience of using a first class, first class device. These chrome books are a great value for your everyday notebook.
Our best 3
What else but the best Chromebook up to 500?
This is an incredible time to buy Chromebook. These light and versatile notebooks are fascinating to more and more fans with their user-friendliness, speed and generally low price. You don’t need to install any additional software or security packages, you won’t notice any bulges or delays and you can now work with Android and Chrome OS applications.
But the problem with buying a new Chromebook is that we don’t know what to expect or which features are good enough for Chromebook. Therefore, in order to avoid mistakes, I have listed these different specifications and qualities that Chromebook should pursue and expect below $500 and not settle for less.
Display quality
The normal standard screen resolution on Chromebook, less than $500, is 1920 x 1080 pixels, also known as 1080p.
But some Chromebooks for $500 have a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, also called 720p. Chromebook is just a great option for most mid-size models with screen sizes from 13 to 15, 720p or 1080p.
CPU andprocessor
For Chromebooks up to 500 you can expect a processor like Celeron or Pentium. They will serve you well if you only have one or two tabs open. However, some Chromebook models are also equipped with AMD processors. They have processors like Celeron, MediaTek, Pentium or Intel i3 that offer enough power to do a good job.
WORKING MEMORY
Chromebook less than 500 years old has 4 to 8 GB of RAM and should provide an excellent user experience for all your basic daily tasks.
Internal memory
If you use Chromebook, you should know that most of your files are stored in the cloud.
For this reason, Chromebook has a small memory, usually between 16 and 64 GB, where you can store local creations. You can also find an SD card slot if you want to save more files to the camera.
Dimensions and design of the screen
With the best Chromebooks for $500, you can choose from a variety of screen sizes. Normally they are available from 11 to 14 inches.
Some models even have a convertible design that allows you to fold Chromebook into different shapes and use it in different modes, such as B. in a laptop or normal tablet, or in tent mode, display mode, or even for presentations, such as models that can rotate 360 degrees.

Top 10 Chromobooks up to $500
1 – Samsung Chromebook Pro – 12″ HD convertible
High quality, lightweight and durable.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro is amazing when you know that the price doesn’t exceed 500 euros. The black and metallic inkjet print is different from most other Chromebooks, and I’m a fan of it. If you open your laptop, you’ll find more black.
Fortunately, the Samsung Chromebook Pro has been able to feel both light and strong. The internal organs of Chromebook Pro are completely normal. You have an Intel Core m3 processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB memory, which is typical for Chromebooks up to 500.
However, this screen distinguishes itself by its resolution of 2400×1600, which means that text and image are astonishingly sharp. The colour and brightness are also excellent. To be honest, the Samsung Chromebook Pro screen is one of the best screens you can find at Chromebook.
And one feature that some of you might benefit from is the Samsung stylus. The pen has several custom features you won’t find on any other Chromebook. But I’m not satisfied with the delay in using the pen, it seems to be late sometimes.

2 – Lenovo Flex Chrome Book 5 – 13″ HD Convertible
Simple and convertible with a great display.
Like many Lenovo products, the Flex 5 is a discreet and unobtrusive notebook. Closed it looks like a normal grey plate, not too thin (2/3 inch) and with almost 3 pounds not too light. This is your main 13-inch 2-in-1 laptop, and the vibration is the same as when you open it.
The 13-inch touchscreen has small discrete frames on 3 or 4 sides, with a thick strip at the bottom and a webcam. The display itself is good enough for a device up to 500 pieces. It also has a 360-degree hinge that allows you to fold the screen all the way down to use it as a board that’s heavy enough.
But I think Lenovo could have done better in terms of viewing angles and brightness, because the reflections and brightness are quite hard on the Flex 5. In general, color and contrast are the elements that make up any pop music, and a resolution of 1080p is solid on a screen this size.

3 – HP Chrome Book x360 – 14″ Convertible
All-in-one Chromebook with amazing build quality.
The HP Chromebook x360 comes at a time when there are a lot of interesting options on the market right now, but if I wanted to buy a Chromebook, this would be the one I would get. With the HP Chromebook x360, HP has brought all the good things together in this joint package.
HP did a good job with their design. It’s not solid aluminum like some other chrome books, but it’s three-quarter aluminum. You get an anodized cover and an interesting white surface on top. Inside there is gorilla glass and aluminium on the deck in front of the keyboard. When we open the lid, we get a fairly standard touch screen with a resolution of 1366×768, wide viewing angles, excellent colors and a brightness of 300 Nit, which does wonders.
The only negative I can think of is that if you really need the stylus, it doesn’t belong to any of them, and some of you might find the grey background with its white colour strange.
In general, almost all boxes are ticked and you should definitely consider buying one.

4 – Acer Chromebook 714 – 14″ HD
High quality view with a good angle
The Acer Chromebook 714 is a standard chrome-plated notebook with a hinged lid and is very pleasant to use.
So let’s start with the fact that it’s built with quality. The Acer Chromebook 714 is designed to be more consistent and of better quality. It’s all aluminum, tight, the edges are small, it doesn’t collect fingerprints and everything is fine.
This Chromebook costs less than $500, but looks like a high quality and expensive Chromebook. It has a Full HD 1080p anti-glare touchscreen, good viewing angles and you can enjoy the super slim edges. He’s not a convertible, and he’s not trying to be. Everything fits, but I can’t find a situation where I want everything to stay flat.
One of the things I look for the most in any Chromebook, but almost every time I’m disappointed is that you can lift the rope with one finger. But the advantage of the Acer Chromebook 714 is that it hasn’t disappointed me and the hinges can be easily lifted with one finger, making it more fun for users.

5 – Acer Aspire R13 Chromebook – 13″ HD Convertible
Simple with good autonomy
The Acer Aspire R13 has a 13.3-inch IPS touch screen and it’s fun to see the full 1080p on this chrome book. The all metal housing and the hinges have a pretty good friction, but my only concern is the hinge in shelf mode, because in shelf mode it looks a bit bent, so you have to be careful with it.
The Acer Aspire R13 features 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory and a quad-core processor that outperforms many other Chromebook models up to 500.
It has an impressive range of 10 to 12 hours, weighs about 1.49 kg, has a fan without fan and is of course completely solid.
The sound quality is not excellent, but it is sufficient for online conferences and maybe even for watching videos. But to listen to music, I recommend the use of headphones. In any case, it is definitely one of the best 2 in 1 to 500 pounds of chrome.

# 6 to 10 Best Chrome Pound up to $500
6 – Asus Chromebook C423NA – 14″
Lightweight and comfortable for travelling
You can use the Asus Chromebook C423NA as your business notebook because it is lightweight and easy to transport.
The battery life – all day long, the operating system – is clear and fast. With the new version of the operating system you can download your favourite Android applications from the PlayStore. The operating system allows you to run programs for Linux by opening the Linux terminal in your applications. The power cube is also good.
The cable and the USB-C connection are very convenient because they can be used to charge multiple devices at the same time. After all, the keyboard is solid and won’t slow you down.
When upgrading to Windows, I am bothered by the lack of an uninstall key and removal tool, and the lack of sound quality, which could be improved. But he still deserves to be on the list of the best chrome books under $500.

7 – Acer Chromebook R11 – 11″ Convertible
Convertible with high gloss touch screen.
The Acer Chromebook R11 features a touch screen and 2-in-1 function, so you can go much further back and use it in different ways you want. You can turn it into a large tablet, use it in a tent, in viewing mode or just like a regular laptop.
It weighs about 1.2 kg and is powered by the quad-core Pentium N3150 processor. It has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory.
The display is an 11.6-inch IPS screen with a brilliant touch screen. It is a plastic construction, but with an aluminium construction on top to protect the screen. Upstairs there is a small webcam, nothing exciting, but good enough for Google Hangouts and the like.
The keyboards are really good and Google actually sanctions the size of these keys, it really has a good time and a good distance.
But I’m a little disappointed by his narrow perspective.

8 – Asus Chromebook C300SA – 13″
Pure and simple view with a good sound.
When it comes to performance, the Asus Chromebook C300SA is a piece of cake. It also looks so clean and simple. I’m sure you’ll want everything on your Google Drive, and with this 500 Chromebook Sharing it’s super easy.
It has a screen size of 13.3 inches, a resolution of 1366×768, a Pentium N3060, 4 GB RAM and 16 GB memory.
I was also surprised by the quality of the sound the speakers produced, especially for the $500 Chromebook. And finally, the battery lasts forever.

9 – Acer Chromebook Spin 311 – 11 Convertible
The universal diary in chrome.
Acer Chromebook Spin 311 offers ultra-sensitive performance for everyday use. Whether you want to increase your productivity or just have fun, this Chromebook does the job.
It has an 11.6-inch screen and an 8-hour battery life. It has a 360 degree convertible design that is really cool because you can use it in 4 different modes. It features a high-resolution IPS screen, is optionally available with a touch-screen and a non-touch screen, and has 4 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of eMMC memory.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 weighs just over a kilo, so it’s perfect if you use it on the road, on your way to school or at work. It’s very handy, multifunctional, and if you just want to tidy up and see a good Netflix show, it’s perfect for that too.
You can download many applications here, and everything works very well. Another thing, setting up this Chromebook is relatively simple and very fun.
I am sure the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 will cover your daily needs and you will not regret your decision to purchase this Chromebook.

10 – Lenovo Chrome Book S330 – 14″
Basic and professional appearance
The Lenovo Chromebook S330 is one of the best entry-level chrome books on the market, let’s see why!
So at $500, the Lenovo Chromebook S330 remains a great Chromebook for the vast majority of people because it gives you just enough of what you’ll probably need every day. The design is almost plastic, but the dark grey or black color is actually quite smooth, and the textured cover is very pleasing to the eye. When you open Chromebook, you’ll see a lot of glasses on the 14-screen, but it has a non-HD display. The buckle can go up to 180 degrees, so you can find the comfort that’s right for you.
But what disappoints me is that although the screen isn’t grainy at all, the colours can be a bit deeper and the sound quality of the Lenovo Chromebook S330 isn’t very good either. I advise you to use headphones for a better experience.
So if you are looking for a good chrome book for $500 to learn the basics, such as working with text, spreadsheets, watching or even watching videos, I think you should consider buying the Lenovo Chromebook S330.
